Good Evening Warriors! This is Kristan Gallimore with your weekly message. Thank you for your understanding and patience with the morning car rider line and afternoon dismissal. Please continue to encourage students to get out of the vehicle once they reach the sidewalk. Many students are doing this and it is greatly helping our line. This week brings several sporting events, April's Freaky Friday and more. Students who have not received ISS or OSS from March 28th to April 25th will be able to attend this Friday. All students will be eligible in May. Our t-shirt and hat sale kicked off this week. Purchase Warrior merch to support our school and raise money for athletics. The website to order is linked here and all orders are due on May 7th. I have shared a poster highlighting all of the end of year dates on our school website and Facebook page. Be sure to check it out and mark your calendars. Dates for the spring band concert, sports and academic awards, EOGs, field day and more are all listed. May 5th-9th is Staff Appreciation Week at Southeastern. Join me in celebrating all of our staff members including teachers, teacher assistants, office staff, custodians, cafeteria workers, media, counselors and coaches that week. If you would like to do something special for any of our staff members, please email me at kristan.gallimore@stokes.k12.nc.us. The Warrior staff are the heartbeat of our school and deserve to be celebrated. This Friday is the Stokes County Special Olympics and we want you to celebrate with us by participating in spirit days leading up to the games. This Wednesday join us by wearing blue for Autism Awareness. Thursday is Spectrum Awareness Day and you can celebrate by wearing all of the colors of the rainbow. Friday is the big day so rock your yellow and gold to show off Warrior Pride. This year's Special Olympics will be held at SSHS. I hope that everyone had a terrific Easter weekend. Rest up, I cannot wait to see students tomorrow morning! GO WARRIORS!

Good Evening Warriors! This is Kristan Gallimore with your weekly message. This week is a short one as there will be no school for students and staff on Friday in honor of the Easter holiday. Students and parents, we need your help in the morning and afternoon car rider line. We have several students being dropped off in the parking lot instead of the actual car rider line. This should not be happening for any students unless the student has a physical limitation that prevents it. Dropping off in the parking lot is a safety concern for students crossing the car lanes and it is not fair to the parents who are waiting in line properly. This should not be happening in the afternoons at dismissal either. We will be placing traffic cones out to block off this area and will have our SRO outside assisting with this as well. The car rider line could speed up greatly if students would get out of the vehicle once they are at the sidewalk. Warmer weather is here and unless it is raining, we should be able to unload at least 4 or 5 vehicles at a time. Parents and guardians, please help us with this by reminding students to get out at the sidewalk and in a timely manner. Vehicles should also not pass each other when students are unloading as we have students getting out on both sides of the car. If you do not want to wait in the line, the morning drop off has less traffic from 7:40 to 7:55 and the afternoon line has slowed down by 3:25. Students should also not be dropped off behind C building. Please reach out to me or Mr. Jones if you have any questions or concerns about these expectations. I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend at home. As always thank you for your continued support and cooperation. I cannot wait to see students and staff tomorrow morning. GO WARRIORS!!

Good Evening Warriors! This is Kristan Gallimore with your weekly message. We have a lot of things planned this week at Southeastern including Wednesday's spirit night at Kobe Japanese restaurant from 5 to 9. Pop in for a meal and help support our athletic teams. This Friday is our Q3 reward with ice cream, free time and outside play on the football field. Congratulations to our honor roll students who earned this reward. We will welcome a special visitor to campus on Friday. Senator Dana Jones will be touring our school and learning about middle school life on Friday and we cannot wait to host her. There will be no school on Friday, April 18th. Our next Freaky Friday is Friday April 28th. Looking ahead to May, we have several things for you to mark on your calendar. May 5th is our athletic awards banquet. May 6th is the spring band concert and May 13th kicks off our test week with EOGs on the 13th (8th grade science) as well as the 14th and 15th (ELA and Math for all grades). May 20th is field day. Students must have perfect attendance on EOG days to participate in field day. Awards Day is May 22nd with 8th grade being at 9:00, 7th grade is at 10:00 and 6th grade is at 11:00. Homeroom teachers will be contacing parents of awards day recipients in May. You can locate all of this information within our calendar on the school website too. Good Evening Warriors! This is Kristan Gallimore with your weekly message. I am so excited to welcome our students back from spring break tomorrow morning. I hope that everyone is well rested and ready to put in the work for our last quarter of the school year. It is so hard to believe that we have just 8 short weeks to finish preparing for End of Grade testing. In order to prepare, we need your help! Please work to have students at school each day by 8:20 and avoid early dismissals if at all possible. Every minute counts as we prepare for our summative assessments. This Friday we will continue our Intervention Fridays and it is also March's Freaky Friday. This month all proceeds go to support all of our athletic teams. Students are eligible as long as they have not received ISS or OSS from February 17th through March 28th. Band students attending Wednesday's MPA, please be sure to be at school at 7:30 dressed in concert black. See Mr. Carter if you have any questions. Looking ahead, Q3 report cards go home on Monday, March 31st. Our final Check-In testing window opens next week. These assessments will help us plan our content pacing between now and the EOGs. As you can see, the end of March and beginning of April are busy at Southeastern. Get some rest and I cannot wait to see you all tomorrow. GO WARRIORS!!

Good Evening Warriors! This is Kristan Gallimore with your weekly message. I want to first thank everyone who donated blood at Wednesday's blood drive. We reached our goal, supported a worthy cause and raised money for our school. Join me in wishing our Battle of the Books team good luck on Wednesday as they compete in the county competition. Thursday is spring pictures and Friday is spring sports pictures. Friday is also the end of Q3 and our last day before spring break. Families, there are only 35 yearbooks left available for purchase. Be sure to order yours today. The 8th grade formal is quickly approaching and now is the time to purchase your ticket from 8th grade teachers. A behavior contract must be signed in order to purchase a ticket. See one of our 8th grade teachers if you have any questions. There will be no weekly message on Sunday, March 16th. Students will return from spring break on Monday, March 24th. I hope that everyone had an amazing weekend and students are ready to put in the work this week in all of their classes. Good Evening Warriors! This is Kristan Gallimore with your weekly message. I want to thank each of you for your patience and understanding as we navigated the weather this past week. I am hoping this coming week is full of warmer temperatures and sunshine. This week brings a lot of sports information and things to remember. Tomorrow night is our spring sports meeting for parents at 5:30 in the big gym. Please make plans to attend. Spring sports kick off on Tuesday and we have our first home games for baseball and softball on Thursday. For spectators who park on Summit Street, please be prepared to walk to the gate and pay for entry or pay when an administrator comes around to check for ticket stubs. The money we earn from ticket sales to our sporting events directly impacts our student-athletes and allows us to purchase equipment such as baseballs, softballs, stop watches, line paint, uniforms and more. Our spring blood drive is on Wednesday, March 5th and we hope that you will consider donating. Southeastern receives $10 per unit if we can collect 30 units of blood. Save a life and support our school in one stop! I hope that each of you had a wonderful weekend. Thank you so much for supporting our students and our staff. We cannot wait to see you tomorrow. GO WARRIORS!!
