Dr. Brad Rice Named 2026 PTEC Regional Superintendent of the Year

Danbury, NC – Dr. Brad Rice has been named the 2026 Regional Superintendent of the Year for the Piedmont/Triad Educational Consortium (PTEC) region. Dr. Rice was selected from a group of nineteen superintendents who lead school districts within the PTEC region, a testament to his outstanding leadership and commitment to student success.

As the PTEC Regional Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Rice is now one of eight superintendents across North Carolina who will compete for the prestigious title of North Carolina State Superintendent of the Year. This recognition highlights his dedication to fostering academic excellence, innovative practices, and a strong vison for the future of education.

"We are incredibly proud of Dr. Rice and his unwavering dedication to students, educators, and the entire school community," said Dr. Bryan Taylor, HR director. "His leadership continues to inspire and drive positive change in our district and beyond.

The North Carolina State Superintendent of the Year will be announced later this year, and the recipient will go on to represent the state in the National Superintendent of the Year selection process.
