Kindergarten Health Assessment Report
Evaluación de Salud de Niños en edad de Asistir al Kindergarten
Parents of children who will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2012 are requested to call the school in their attendance area to set up an appointment to register their child for kindergarten. At registration, parents will meet school personnel and complete school entrance forms. School personnel will check immunization records, birth certificates, and social security cards of children and provide opportunities to learn about school services and the kindergarten curriculum. (All children are required to have an up-to-date shot record and physical when entering school for the first time.) Children will participate in an informal screening of academic skills.
Kindergarten Registration Day is an excellent time for young children to visit their school. It is a special day for parents and children. Parents are encouraged to attend, if at all possible, as this day helps parent and child have a better first experience with their school.
